Wedding and Event Décor opened in 2011 as The Wedding Room, and in 2016 became part of Marquee and Event Hire Ltd, sharing its site on Racecourse Road, Washdyke Timaru.

At Marquee and Event Hire we are your local specialists for marquees and tent hire. We hire new equipment for all your event needs. Our professional Marquee and Event team will work with you in the planning and preparation stages to ensure your event is polished, professional, and a great success! We’ll supply everything you need from tables and linen to crockery, cutlery, flooring, heating, and more.

The addition of Wedding and Event Décor to Marquee and Event Hire offers individuals a range of décor items for any event.

Experience

Brendan and Ghizlaine have owned Marquee and Event Hire since 2009, when they purchased the business from R and S Event and Party Hire.

Brendan originally set up the business for R and S and Ghizlaine has experience in restaurant and bar management.

Many couples and event organisers can become overly stressed and frustrated when planning events adding. Brendan or Ghizlaine can help reduce unnecessary pressure, with their knowledge and experience.

There is not one major company that provides all the services for a wedding but several that generally have to be contacted, scheduled, and paid for separately because each couple has specific demands that not one company can meet. This makes the planning and organisation of a modern wedding very complicated.

With the average age for marriage in New Zealand being between 20 and 34 years old, couples will be working directly with Brendan or Ghizlaine who have experience in the industry’s modern trends. We have good contacts and have been able to establish working relationships with many wedding industry vendors and suppliers (locally, nationally and internationally) over the past years.
