Birdcages & Wishing Trees

Birdcages are gorgeous decorative features at weddings and come in many shapes and sizes.

If you are still undecided on a focal point for your wedding and looking for something that is a little different and very versatile you may consider a birdcage as an integral part of the décor, such as centrepieces.
There are many ideas for decorating these inside and out to incorporate your colours, such as candles, flower posies and butterflies. They can also be used as card wishing well instead of a guestbook – as a wishing well, guests jot down well-wishes for the bride and groom on special cards you provide and drop them into the birdcage. The other popular use is on the gift table for guests that have brought cards with gifts of money.

Wishing trees are where guests write their special wishes for the couple on leaves or pieces of paper and hang them on a tree. They can be rustic or elegant with hanging crystals – all depends on the style you’ve selected for your wedding. Search the internet for different verses you can put in a beautiful decorative frame to place in front of your tree to explain to guests the purpose of the tree and what they are supposed to do.
